For Veterinary Hospitals
Spinks Veterinary Clinic and Dr. Paul Hodges have teamed up to offer outpatient services through our new SVC Endoscopy Department. As well as continuing to provide routine laparoscopic surgical options, our goal is to collaborate with you to help you offer enhanced diagnostic and therapeutic options to your clients. While referral to specialty centers will continue to be a vital aspect of veterinary care; we strive to offer additional, more affordable availability for the community to access these specialized services.
How does it work?
Sometimes all you need is the right data – by working together, your client can have fast, easy access to endoscopic diagnostic options and you can continue to manage your own patients.
The process is simple:
· Fill out the surgical inquiry form (link below)
· We will follow up with you (and/or your client if you select this option) to arrange a suitable time for the procedure. Any necessary pre-op testing can either be done at your facility with results forwarded to us or run at Spinks Veterinary Clinic on the same day as the procedure. Whichever is your or your client’s preference.
· Should we collect biopsy/lab samples, the histopathology/lab report will be forwarded directly back to you to aid in your case management. In the interest of this being a team approach, we also invite you to submit your own Idexx pathology requisition form if that is your preference.
· Your client will receive discharge instructions relevant to the procedure performed and get transferred back in your care on the same day.
· Spinks Veterinary Clinic will not accept requests from clients to continue managing the illness in which their pets are being referred for.
We hope this service is of interest and provides useful options to your valued clients. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us with any questions you may have.
